a contemporary lens. The work of Francesca Woodman and David Ryan Lopez respectively, inspires a transition into movement, through volume and excessive cuts. The dramatic volumes of the Tailored Waterfall Dress Coat emulate a heightened sense of beauty, with exacerbated motion as the woman walks. Similarly with the velvet release jacket, the over-exaggerated volume that flows from the fitted waist at the reverse, opens out, elevating the silhouette as the woman moves. This is then balanced out by the delicacy of the hand sewn pearls, which add to a heightened beauty, sewn upon exquisite Chantilly lace mirroring the intricacy of Michael Landy’s florals.
